I started work at Toachim House in February 2003 after having done some work experience whilst studying animal science at collage. I have always had a passion for animals from a young age, and now have 4 dogs, the oldest of which had an operation by Andrew that got her walking again! I also have six chickens, working at Toachim is handy because Bonnie is a specialist chicken vet as well as looking after the usual array of small furies!
Being a veterinary nurse is an interesting career, you never know quite what the day is going to bring and your collage diplomas certainly come in handy! I love nurse clinics and think that sharing knowledge with our clients on how to keep our pets healthy, both in body and mind, is one of the most important parts of my job. Also having a family, including 4 young children, I am very aware that information given in the consult room needs to actually work and fit into busy family life!
I am proud to have worked at Toachim for so long and have seen and been part of it growing, I certainly couldn’t think of anywhere else I’d rather work!
